Y. .. Who was St. Valentine? was the year 270 when the Roman Emperor Claudius II forbade members of his army to marry, arguing that married men were bad soldiers and bad serving the needs of the Empire.
Bishop Valentine opposed the decree and promoted marriage among young couples in love, who came to church to get married in secret. Claudius II in vain demanded the rebel bishop complied with the ban, as Valentine continued celebrating marriages in secret.
On February 14 the Christian bishop was beheaded after being beaten and stoned by orders the emperor.
In the V century AD, Pope Gelasius instituted on February 14 as Valentine's Day, patron saint of lovers.
While in prison, days before his death, Valentine fell in love with a blind to which the strength of their faith restored his sight. When leaving, the Bishop left a message for his beloved he signed "From your Valentine." There are many traditions that are born today keep. (Information network)

Why Valentine's Day cards are sent?
From the beginning of the festivities in honor of Lupercus, the young Roman men and women looking for partners in mid-February. When these pagan festivals were banned by the Catholic Church, the young Romans decided to continue the tradition of sending love letters to girls who wanted to woo every 14 February. It was typical sign these messages with the pen name of St. Valentine. The oldest of which is preserved was sent in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans, his wife, while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London.
In the sixteenth century, San Francisco de Sales, Bishop of Geneva, attempted to break this habit. But all she got was that the cards be made more famous and even more decorative. Cupid, the naked cherub armed with a lot of arrows dipped in love potion, became the popular image of these cards that everyone knew as "valentines."
In the seventeenth century there were large hand-drawn cards and start selling in stores, although these were smaller and more expensive. Gradually, the process was mechanized and soon were printed with poems and drawings. This, coupled with a great reduction of postal rates, made from that time on valentines they lived their golden age. " (Taken from the network )

As we know, love will relate to the color red, then the challenge is to make a card WITHOUT use Red color, add a piece of lace and a heart, these 3 requirements are essential in the challenge, from there you can add whatever you want to decorate.

CUTTING MACHINES
cutting machines allow amateurs to create an endless scrapbooking ornaments with outstanding quality in a very short time. Exist in the market for at least 4 major brands of machines and can be classified according to their system into three categories:

From pressure
Except for the QuicKutz Squeeze machines pressure are leverage, do not require much effort from the user. Used stamps (also known as dice)

roller
roller machines exert even pressure on cutting boards and / or recorded. Are most suitable for engraving. Dies used.

Electronic
The electronic cut with a system similar to the Plotters, given the choice to cut fonts and other figures in different sizes and with unparalleled precision not accept the large amount of machine materials roller or pressure.
To see what materials can be cut every punch I recommend checking your specifications, for example, all originals Sizzix Cuttlebug and cut foam, tin, and cardboard, some even thin cork, felt and magnetic vinyl. but some sizzlets specify that only are for paper and cardboard.

Analysis of the most popular machines on the market:

Sizzix

Big Shot
Machine with roller system, exceptional stability, even pressure, input slot 15 cm. No additional adapters required, accepts from large Bigz blanking line up of extra- cuttlekids. High compatibility with other brands.

SideKick

Big Kick
roller machine like Big Shot, the most significant difference is that the entry slot is wider.

Cuttlekids

REVOLUTION MACHINE TAPE PAPER DECORATED

comes a month LOVE and FRIENDSHIP and everywhere are hearts and more hearts. Spain celebrates Valentine's Day, but I love that other countries also celebrate Friendship Day.
Today I bring you a mini tutorial to make a super paper tape Sencillito decorated, so that we can entertain making and then are very funny on cards or wherever we want.
1 .- The first is a piece of card stock or watercolor paper, felt pen. Draw a line of small subjects: flowers, stars or hearts like me. No need are all equal.

2 .- Then we draw on both sides of wavelets to make a tape.

3 .- I added a few dots on the outside, but you can draw whatever you want.

4.-colored now. I used watercolor pencils (the picture is bright and can not tell it clarito red)
5.-With
a brush and a little water to blend the color. (that's why it's the indelible markers.)

6.-As I had everything very clearly and still wet, pressing a little more paint pens to emphasize
hearts.

7.-wavelets now to cut leaving a blank piece outside the dots.

8 .- One to cut time I inked the edges and I used two colors: brown some emphasizing a wider edge and then some dark green in the phyllites.

9.-Then I added other spots red dots around the bottom and brown on the tips of the hearts.

10 .- And here's my tape finished! What has been really cool?

And here's my tape applied on a card for Valentine's Day. Below I put a red satin ribbon and highlights a lot!

Hope you liked it. Thank you all for following us and for all the comments so pretty that leave us!
not forget that there are still a few days to challenge the little card of Color # 5. The deadline is January 25 !! Besooooossss

What Is The Last Level Of Cubefield

Preparing for Valentine

month is coming Love and Friendship , and what better way to show affection and appreciation for that special someone or that friendship, giving away a pretty pink. In my Blog leave the full tutorial how to make this pretty pink paper, was to put everything here in this post, but have seen my tutorials know that I spend with photos jajajaja and because I like to take picture of every detail to leave no doubt, and q if it would put all this eternal post.

Here I show only the end result is that as this blog is best card for your card to accompany this beautiful flower, the card I made different kinds tag leaving the space to put the dedication. To make the card, did the following:

1. I cut a paper box of 19 x 12 1 / 2 inches, in cream.

2. I cut another box with striped paper 12 1 / 2 x 11 inches and cut the edges with scallop scissors into the shape of wavelets .

3. distress ink and a pink sponge , inked all edges.

4. After getting everything ready so stuck.

5. To decorate my card I used a large white lace, pasted it into the bottom, I hit up a strip of red color organza, and lace and ribbon in the corner hit the flower with its leaves .

Here you can see it complete, I added up another flower, the spiral, which is made by cutting a circle and then cut this circle in a spiral, then only the spiral is wound and we have the flower , we bent a little edge, painted with glimmer mist color pink and put a little ink distress the edges to enhance it more. And to complete the decoration a butterfly red.

hope you like the card is a nice idea to give in San Valentin , the wait for my Blog to see how to make the flower.
